On Saturday, September 26, 2026, something extraordinary happened on the slopes of Garth Mountain. Hundreds of local supporters, families, and friends stepped out into the evening air for Turn The Garth Pink 2026—a record-breaking community event dedicated to raising vital awareness for NHS Organ Donation Week.

A Summit Lit with Love and Hope

As the twilight faded, walkers set off from three distinct starting points across our local communities: Efail Isaf, Gwaelod-Y-Garth, and Pentyrch. Armed with pink-lit torches, glowing headlamps, and wrapped in twinkling fairy lights, lines of light steadily wove their way up toward the summit.

When everyone converged at the iconic white trig point at the top of Garth Mountain, the energy was unforgettable. Together, the crowd lifted their lights to illuminate the night sky with a massive, glowing pink heart.

It wasn’t just a breathtaking visual—it was a powerful statement of unity, remembrance, and hope.

Why "Turn The Garth Pink" Matters

Backed by official recognition from the NHS Organ Donor Campaign, Turn The Garth Pink was created to spark critical, life-saving conversations.

  • Starting the Conversation: While many people support organ donation, taking the time to discuss your wishes with family is essential. Events like this make that conversation natural, open, and urgent.

  • A Space for Remembrance: For many participating families, the walk offered a beautiful, collective space to honor loved ones who have given the life-saving gift of organ donation.

"It takes just two minutes to register your decision, but that single choice can transform up to nine lives."

One Decision. One Conversation. One’s Enough.

At One's Enough, we believe in the power of individual choices to create monumental collective change. Just as one person registering their organ donation decision can save a life, one evening on Garth Mountain showed what happens when a community unites around a shared purpose.

If you weren't able to join us on the mountain this year—or if you were inspired by the sea of pink lights—you can still make a difference right now.

How You Can Help Today:

  1. Register Your Decision: Visit the official NHS Organ Donor Register to log your choice.

  2. Talk to Your Family: Let your loved ones know your decision so they can honor your wishes.

  3. Spread the Word: Share the event photos and video to keep the conversation glowing!

Thank you to every single walker, volunteer, and supporter who made Turn The Garth Pink 2026 our biggest and brightest year yet. Together, we proved that light always shines brightest when we share it. 💗
