Carolyn Frater-Thomas a Woman on a mission to talk about kidney donation

You're born with a spare!

I’m Carolyn, and I’m on a mission to get us all talking about living kidney donation, and how, by "Sharing Your Spare", you can give someone their future back.

"It's not for everybody, but the more people who know, the more likely they are to at least consider it!"

Kay Mason
The first altruistic living kidney donor in the UK.

Could you donate a kidney to a stranger?

Non-directed kidney donation, also known as altruistic kidney donation, is when someone chooses to give a kidney to someone in need without knowing who will receive it.

More than 1,000 people in the UK have donated a kidney to someone they don't know to massively transform lives.

"Give a Kidney" is a charity raising awareness of non-directed living kidney donation, with a vision of "No Waiting For A Transplant For Want Of A Kidney"
